The time has come to blog about food:) It makes me so hungry now just by typing in the blog!!! WEEEEE..
Drum roll plssss........
This week's delicacy is a Hybrid Food, combining the freshness of the Caribbean sea with Italy's very own Spaghetto plus the goodness of every spice and herbs.
POOF~~ The Chili Crab Spaghetti!! (Cheering!!!)
I tried this a few weeks back at the Singapore Botanical Garden in a Malay restaurant:
Halia Restaurant & Villa Halia (Website)
(Located in the Ginger Garden) Serves local and western fare in the day and offers a continental menu for night dining. Specially created ginger dishes available.
Opening Hours :
Weekdays : 11 am - 11 pm
Weekends/Public Holidays : 9 am - 11 pm
Tel :6476 6711
The first taste was actually quite special. You can feel the tenderness of the crab meat mingling within the essence of the chili crab sauce as you devour the spaghetti in your mouth. The aftertaste of this dish makes you want to take another bite asap to harmonize the conflict between crab and spaghetti. It is a new savor with such a western and eastern partnership.
I can only say that the dish is worth trying for only once because is way too expensive for a spaghetti and its small portion, $18. For those who are willing to spent this money, i would think that the ambiance of the restaurant in the midst of trees and flowers is quite unique. There are other cuisines there for you to try out too:)
All in all, i grade this dish a 3.5/5.
